Background: A California-based home therapy company, Apria Healthcare acquired Coram, Inc., in 2007.

Scope of work/distinctive features:

  • Relocation of Apria business unit (respiratory and home therapy) and renovation of existing Coram business unit (infusion services) to allow both units to share single building
  • Design process included phased renovation to permit continued operations and patient care
  • Extensive lobby renovation features specially designed elevator
  • Incorporated joint office and administrative space into design

Results: The new building helped further align Apria Healthcare’s business and operational goals through integration of both Apria and Coram’s services into one location, while maintaining patient care and service.
